Spotify began testing streaming support for its Watch app a couple of months ago but now it’s being rolled out widely in a proper release, made possible by a server-side update, as revealed. Recently, Spotify updated its interface, burying its “Repeat” button in the depths of a sub-menu on its mobile app—and people are pissed. Redditors and Twitter users alike have taken to the.

They’ve made some really poor changes to the Spotify app
The world’s favourite music streaming app just got a whole let less popular thanks to its new update.
Spotify have released its latest update over the past few days and weeks and fans of the app have not been happy with the changes made.
As well as some of the new visual tweaks that come along in software updates, the latest version of Spotify has hidden away several key features that have become essential to the average Spotify user.
Now, if you want to set a certain song or album to repeat, or even look at your play queue (upcoming songs), you’re forced to open a separate menu, whereas before they were clearly and easily accessible on the now-playing page.
But it’s OK though, because you can now share songs with friends on social media more easily.

To get an idea of what’s coming your way if you haven’t got the new update yet, here a few screenshots of the new layout.

As you can see the repeat and queue buttons are now tucked away in a separate menu. Bizarrely, they’ve been discarded in favour of the shuffle button, favourite button and a new share option. Create apps without code.
Fans of the app have, as you might expect, taken to social media to complain about the changes.

The mobile Spotify app used to closely resemble the PC version not too long ago. I bring this up because the PC version was and still is sheer perfection but the mobile app has continued to be subject to unnecessary and frustrating updates.
Why Spotify ever felt the need to implement this downgrade is beyond myself and many users alike. Hopefully, users' complaints will be heard and the changes to the beloved Spotify App can be reversed.
